For the first time in the northern region, Sanatu Zambang brought in young artists in the capital to come to their studios to exhibit their work as well as bring attention to the art sector in the creative art industry in the region.

One of the participants, Shani Mohammed, a student at the University of Education, Winneba, expressed his gratitude to Sanatu for the initiative. According to Shani , who is into digital design said, the initiative was a good thing and should encourage. He said, there is a need to create space where artists can come and interact, get to know each other.

‘’I feel like it is something that has been missing in Tamale. When I move from Tamale to Accra, I realized that there were a lot of art spaces for young creative people to meet, network and create artwork together”

On why he is participating Saani said.

‘’SCCA is a good thing it will bring young people together. But I want to make friends and also show what I can do as an artist. And also, just express my self by the use of art and build network’’.

On if he should get the opportunity to get training from SCCA, ‘’Big opportunity to grow in my career, as an individual and also make an impact in the life of other people through my art.’’

He encourages young people to take interest in art because art, as he sees it, is ‘’the very foundation that life is built on and young people who are able to express themselves in that area is a good thing.’’
