To curb COVID-19, Tamale North MP donates to his constituency

The Member of Parliamentary for Tamale North, Alhassan Suhuyini came to the aid of his constituency on 6th April 2020 by donating items to some communities as part of his contribution to curbing the spread of COVID-19.

The donated items include 100 Veronica bucket, 700 hand sanitizer, 60 tissue, 200 liquid soup and stands for the Veronica bucket.

The presentation was done on behave of the MP by his special assistant. He handed over the items to the NDC constituency vice chairman of Tamale North, Mr. Amadu Yussif.

The items will be given to health facilities in the constituency, chief palaces, and other public spaces that people convene in his constituency to mitigate the spread of the virus.

So far, Ghana has recorded 287 cases with 10 coming from Tamale. The confirmed cases in Tamale are non-Ghanaians but were smuggled into the country and one person has escaped from the quarantined area.

Tamale North MP pays the medical bills of a 9-year-old boy

Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North constituency, Alhassan S. Suhuyini has paid the medical expenses of nine-year-old Fuseni Abubakari, from Kanvilli-Tunayili in the Sagnarigu Municipality of the Northern region.

Mr. Abubakari who has been battling with Elevation of Depressed skull after a scan and a specialist consult, was booked to undergo surgery at the Tamale Teaching hospital.

The parents of the young boy could not afford to pay GH₵7,700.00 required for the medical bill hence, the Medical Social-work unit of the Tamale Teaching hospital initiated an appeal for funds to help the boy to successfully go through the surgical procedures.

The member of parliament for Tamale North through his MPs common fund intervened with an amount of GH5,000 to assist the little boy to undergo emergency surgery.   

Assemblyman for kanvilli where the boy and his family reside, Samuel Abdul Rahman together with the NDC’s Constituency communication officer for the area, who made the presentation on behalf of Mr. Suhuyini said, the wish of the hon. member will be to see the boy live in good health and also turn out to be an asset to the family and the country, for which reason he could not sit back and watch him suffer in pain.
