Plan Ghana director appeals for passage of affirmative action bill

The director for plan Ghana International, Mr. Solomon T. Mariam is also adding to the call for passage of affirmative action bill. He made the appeal the launch of the Rafela Ghana chapter in Tamale on the 9th of March, 2020.

The affirmative action bill which is a set of needed action designed to correct history systematic discrimination and exclusion of women in decision making. Process.

The director said that, to achieved generation equality, realizing women’s rights, then the was the need to pass the affirmative action bill now to give women the opportunity to be where decisions are made. He believes that women and girls should be represented in all levels of government, have equal job opportunity, and can rise to power in all levels of governance.

In his address, the director reiterated the Plan Ghana International mandate as an organization, which is the empowerment of young people, women, and children. He also added that, in the next five years, most of their projects will be done in the northern region.
