Yumza foundation over the weekend organized a successful women empowerment summit with the theme ‘’. The Woman in Me’’ in Tamale at the Holy Cross Parish Conference hall.
In attendance of the event were Hajia Alimatu Sagito Saeed-CEO of SWIDE Ghana, the MCE for Savelegu municipality-Hajia Aisha Yakubu, NPP parliamentary candidate for Sagnarigu-Honourable Felicia Tettey, Youth Empowerment for Life director-Mrs Jawal Vera Magan, Nancy Yeri of Norsaac, Miss Rosalinda Nyaame-founder of Teenswot foundation and Mrs. Fatimah Gomda-NS N/R accountant.
The executive director of Yumza foundation, Jennifer Tembile said, the purpose of the summit was to inspire the next generation of women in the region to own their voice and also aspire to take up leadership positions.
According to the director, the summit was not just about boosting the number of people that attended but rather, the number of people that benefited and had an impact from what the speakers spoke about.
The summit was in two folds, thus the inspirational talk session and mentorship session. The mentorship session was led by all speakers together with Nancy Yeri.
