The Northern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party Mr. Bantama Samba has said come December 7th, 2020 NPP will win fifteen seats in the Northern region.
He appealed to the party foot soldiers to take advantage of the upcoming voter’s registration exercise in April. Chairman Samba said the “4MORE4NANA “slogan, means that every single person in the NPP has a critical role to play.
Chairman Samba said this in a welcome address at a durbar of Northern Regional Nasara Wing of NPP in Tamale. The durbar which was under the theme: “Mobilizing the Zongo Communities in Northern Region for Victory 2020 and beyond “.
Chairman Bantama Samba also used the occasion to launch the Northern Regional Nasara Fund. Chairman Bantama Samba donated an amount of GHc 3,000 each to all the 18 Constituency Nasara Coordinators in the region. He said the amount will help them to canvass votes for the NPP ahead of the December 7th general elections.
On his part, the National Nasara Coordinator of NPP Alhaji Abdul Aziz Haruna Fuuta appealed to the northern regional executives of the party to work as a team.
He said the NPP is a party that cares for Moslems and other people in the Zongo communities in Ghana. He said reinstating Arabic Instructors, the creation of a Zongo Ministry, the setting up of Zongo Development Fund and two Moslems serving the Nation as Vice Presidents shows the love NPP has for the people in the Zongo Communities.
Speaking to party faithful, the special Guest of Honor for the occasion, and Zongo Minister Hon. Mustapha Abdul Hammid has challenged the NDC to point out one social intervention program they have been able to implement in the Zongo Communities during their 27 years in government including the PNDC.
Hon. Mustapha Abdul Hammid appealed to Ghanaians to exercise patience with the NPP administration. He said there are 3,000 Zongo communities in Ghana and so the 3 years of NPP in government is not enough to develop all the Zongo communities in Ghana.
He appealed to Ghanaians to give President Akufo Addo another four more years so that he will continue his good work in the Zongo Communities.
