Eric Anobil breaks 18-years men 100m hurdles record

The University for Development Studies has become the eye of tertiary sports and athletics in Ghana and West Africa for the past two years. The #teamUDS has emerged triumphant in most of their competitions and has since won several trophies to that effect.

At the ongoing 26th annual Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games in the University of Ghana – Legon, the University even though it isn’t performing that much as compared to last year, has swept away several gold and bronze medals in the competition already.

The developer; Eric Anobil broke an 18-years long-standing athletics record in the men 100m hurdles. This brought joy to the team for being able to set a new record in the history of GUSA. The athlete was awarded a gold medal.

Others who took medals include; Dufie Agnes who was placed first in the women 100m hurdles thus, gold medal. Agyeamang Kate also won gold in women 100m, while Tweneboah Thomas won bronze in men 100m.

Even though the competition is not over, the UDS community is expecting highly from their team as usual.
