The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has indicated that the NDC would use legitimate means to stop the electoral commission from dissipating the country’s scares resources in its bid to create the new register.
He wondered why the EC backed by the NPP government is burnt on creating a new register when there are more priority areas that need to be tackled. Addressing party faithful in Tamale, the Northern regional capital over the weekend he said, the NDC was not beating war drums but were raising legitimate concerns.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo told the people a committee has been set up to work on the party’s manifesto and would soon be in the regions to solicit their views.
A former Ghana high commissioner to the UK Ambassador Victor Smith called on the youth to rise to the challenge that the country faces now. He said to prevent the NPP government to force itself on Ghanaians, there was the need for the youth to rise and focus its attention on redeeming Ghana.
The National Youth Organiser George Opare Addo said the country was heading into a pit and the only way the tire can be reversed is to vote the NDC back to power.
