Every relationship is dynamic and differs from one to another. The problems might be similar but solving them will depend on the two individual and how they are willing to make the relationship work. Joining Mariam Pagnaa in the studios of Sanatu Zambang in discussing relationship pressures are Zainab Mashud and Sandra Tom Dery.
Some of the issues that raised are called pressure, sex pressure, control freak and insecurity. With calls pressures, the panelist made mention of how some men will call their girlfriends every minute just to check on them and it is sometimes annoying.
Not only that, you do not have to have an excuse when they call and you are not able to answer. They expect you to answer your phone whenever they call you. Sex pressure they made mention how guys feel entitled to their girlfriends’ body when they are dating.
They want to have sex with you all the time and expect you to give to their demand. When it comes to sex they treat you like you are their sex object hence you have no right to deny them sex. Sex should be consensual. It should be Mutual understanding between the couple. If one is not interested, sex is no longer fun.
Sex should be fun where both parties enjoy it. Realistic If I don’t give you sex doesn’t mean I don’t love you. A point that was made is that, would be a couple should have a Sex talk before relationship start. Another point worth mentioning was the controlling freak guy. This kind of guy wants to control your movement and as well as the company you are having.
This kind of guy wants to reshape your life all over for you without caring about your feelings. They forget that, before you two became an item, you had a life to live and so he has no right to change that. But they were also quick to add that, yes, when you are in a relationship, there will be a limitation and that should be left for the discretion of the woman to decide the places she wants to go and the kind of company she wants to keep. Just as she is not trying to rearrange the man’s life, he should not also try to rearrange hers.
A relationship is about communication and understanding each other. We are raised in a society where women are made to be dependent on men. Women need to be independent. A parent should provide the needs of females. If girls’ needs are not met, they tend to follow guys who provide their needs and tend to controls them by putting restriction and limitation on them.
