Fatsu specializes in designing and sewing ready-to-wear apparel for both women and kids. For the past few years, they have trained students in fashion and design, and have awarded students with National Training and Vocational Institute (NTVI )certificates.
Fatsu also specializes in making bridal gowns and custom-made outfits. The school made their debut runway appearance at the maiden edition of the Trends Runway show held in Tamale at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in November 2021.

The night brought some delight to the city of Tamale, the atmosphere, reception and audience turnout were new experiences said one of the designers. Other designers showcasing their works House of Micky, Shak`s Fashion, Tiag Couture, Niposkin, Bekura Fashion, Trut Fashion, Muaz Fashion and Fatsu Fashion.
“I would say our people here are learning fashion to survive and not to become global fashion icons. They want to make money, they want to feed their family. It is not bad and I don’t blame them.
From my side, I would say my tertiary education actual influence my decisions and gave me a different mindset about working in the fashion business. I want people I train to see practical sewing skills as a hobby, so they can enjoy every aspect of it

On September 3rd 2022, Ms Rahama Zakaria moderated a fashion workshop organised by Ms Fatima Sumani in Tamale. Participants were trained on how to make Tie-dye and fashion accessories as well as a lecture on how creatives in the fashion industry can protect their work using the laws of the country.
The communications team also called on Mr Ibrahim Nayi Issahku to enlighten participants on copyright protection in the fashion industry
