The Northern Region has recorded 12 recoveries out of the 16 COVID 19 cases. The recoveries included 7 of the Guineans who entered the region illegally.  Speaking to the media at a press briefing the Regional Health Director Dr John D Eleeza said the Guineans will be discharged by close of today or early tomorrow morning.

He said the Regional Minister has commanded they be taken to a holding center in Accra where they will later be repatriated to their home country when the borders are opened.

He further said 3 cases that were recorded at the Tamale treatment center are part of those who recovered, dispelling rumors that a patient at Wulensi has escaped.
