The Minority leader in Ghana’s Parliament and Member of Parliament for Tamale South Haruna Iddrisu has demanded from Bank of Ghana and government a full disclosure of the cost of procurement and printing of Ghc 100.00 and Ghc 200 notes.
The minority in Ghana’s Parliament and Member of Parliament for the Tamale South Constituency, Haruna Iddrisu has commissioned and handed over a CHPs CHPS community in his constituency. The project valued at GHC 300,000.00 is funded by the accumulated savings of the health and MPs share of the common fund also included some hospital equipments to help with its smooth running.
According to Mr. Iddrisu, President Nana Addo is the first President in the history of Ghana and in the history of many countries to print currency denomination of such magnitude without the notice of the Ghanaian public and this he said is a complete fraud and disrespect to the values, transparency, and accountability.
He was speaking at the commissioning of a CHIPS Compound at Duuyin in the Tamale South Constituency.
On the issue of a new voter register compilation, Hon Haruna Iddrisu said the NDC Party believes that a credible voter register is a cynic to the conduct of the free, fair and credible election.
He said the voter register the NPP is struggling to discredit is the same register that gave birth to Nana Akufo Addo as president of Ghana, the same register gave birth to the creation of new additional regions during referendum, the same register was used to elect Assembly members and when did the register gone wrong to become so discredited and not good enough for 2020 elections.
