Countrywise Communication is an Agric media organization that operates as a non-profit organization. The organization is are based in Tamale and it is basically into developmental communication to help farmers especially in the rural communities.
The organization specializes in producing agricultural training videos and translations of videos into local languages. Vuol Raymiond, the executive director, birthed an innovative way to turn a tricycle into a video communication van, which journeys to remote centers, communities with incredibly to spread information in their local languages.
Most often the tricycle travels to communities to show videos on best agronomic practices to breach the Agric extension agents gap. Using all kinds of communications techniques to educate and inform farmers.
True to their vision and missioned to help in the growth of Agric in the local communities, countrywise communications have established an award scheme, Harmattan Awards to award journalists and media organizations who are helping in projecting and educating their listeners on the best practice in Agric business. The awards scheme is in its third year and so far, journalists and media organizations have been rewarded for their crusade. Currently countrywise is preparing for the third franchise which will come next year in the first quarter.
