Going Natural with Hausat Naturelle

Currently, what is in vogue is beauty products especially, if it has to do with a natural product without the laboratory-produced chemicals and that is what Hausat naturelle seeks to give its customers.

Hausat Naturelle is owned by Hausat Bint Muntaka. She is into the selling of pure honey, turmeric powder, Shea butter, and black soup. These are all gotten from the northern part of Ghana.

In an interview with Sanatu Zambang, Hausat disclosed how she used her last national service allowance to start the business. Before completing her national service, she thought of what she will be doing after because she did not want to finish service then come and sit at home doing nothing. This thought birth the idea of her becoming an entrepreneur and starting Hausat Naturelle.

After taking her last national service allowance which is five hundred Ghana cedi, she used it to purchase a gallon of pure honey from the north to start with, then later added shea butter, turmeric powder, and the black soup all from the north also.

According to her she just does not just get the turmeric power but she buys the fresh one which she later turns to the powder to sell. The reason has been that she wants to see to it that, it is not mixed with any other powder and that is how come she has been able to establish a trust relationship with her customers.

The idea of the black soup came when she was suffering from achene and high pigmentation. Then she mixed the turmeric powder with other natural products and the results were marvelous. She used herself as the model for light-skinned people and her cousin for dark-skinned girls before releasing the product to the market. The business is registered with the registrar general department and also approved by the FDA.

The big picture for Hausat Naturelle is to become one of the biggest cosmetics companies in the country that is able to employ a large number of people and run big advertisements. She also plans to train Kayayei girls on how to make Soup and package their products.

Hausat who is very passionate about the empowerment of these Kayayei girls started a project back then to help these girls but had to stop because she was not financially stable to do that. She has not abandoned the idea totally. She hopes that, as the business progresses, she will be able to empower these young girls to make soup and package them well.

Hausat who is from Salga started her primary education there and moved to Tamale to continue her basic education and senior high school at Presby and Tamale Girls Senior High school.
