”We continued this way till I approached a malam, Afa Shirazu, who led us in prayer and asked him if he could teach me, and he agreed, so when I am not able to go to my father’s place, I would go to him to learn. That was how school started, The learning process continued until one day, a group of people joined, and after I taught them what to say during prayers, they went home to their children who were attending Arabic schools to assist them, unfortunately, their children were not able to. But there was another child who attended my school and was able to read what the others could not, the other children were brought and that is was how the children Arabic school started.”
