When it comes to activism in the northern region, one name that comes to mind is Fouzia Tua Alhassan. Her entire being is built around empowering women and advocating for the rights and education of the youth. She believes in women empowerment, equal opportunities, and young people’s development

This thirst for a better world for all to live in has shaped her career path and the organization to work with as well as her association. Miss Fouzia Tua who previously worked with Savannah Signature Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs) Tamale has seen her work with communities to educate people on the importance of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights.

Fouzia Tua Alhassan is the first female president of JCI Tamale chapter. She was the first female from JCI Tamale Premier to be appointed to serve on the 2016 National Board of JCI Ghana as the National Projects Director.

Miss Fouzia Tua Alahassan was born and bred in Tamale. She started her basic school in Our Lady of Fatima and completed Tiyumba. She then proceeded to Tamale Senior high school where she studied Business.
