She didn’t just come out to establish an Islamic institution; it was by Allah’s will, Allah chose her and also blessed her with a good spouse, who supported and guided her through her journey. Hajia Mariam had learned the Quran and Islamic knowledge from her father, and also married a man who had knowledge of the religion. Their marriage was made through the path of the religion, she was married into a home that practiced the religion, and she was loved by her in-laws because of her religion. Her husband had encouraged her after marriage to learn more about the religion since it was the basis of their marriage

Mariam helps the poor and orphans, she has so much love for children to an extent that she pays less attention to her children, as she focuses on other children who are under her care, and it is because she wants to promote religion. So mostly, she gives attention to people who come from remote communities to learn, and this is because if they are able to learn well, they are able to go back to their communities and teach others, hence, there wouldn’t be the need for people from here to go there to teach or propagate the religion
