Playwright, Antoinette Letsa ends 2020 with “Wife for rent. 50% discount” staged play

DM-SALT Mansion presented Wife for Rent on the 19 of December at Gnat Hall a playwright by Antoinette Dzorgbenyuie Letsa, a stage drama that made my day. DM-SALT Drama Mansion is a theatre arts enterprise that mainly uses total theatre music, dance, and drama to educate, entertain, inform and counsel its’ audience, hence the motto, ‘Using drama for development’.

The drama was about a couple whose married lives were perfect until Alex gets tired of his wife Joy who wasn’t bearing him children and wishes marriage was a contract. His friend Maxwell comes up with a perfect plan for Alex. William the EX-boyfriend of Joy was then planted in the family to do the dirty work which leads to the shocking discoveries.

Alex discovers Joy his wife was his source of happiness and couldn’t live without her but unfortunately, Joy was pregnant and married to Williams; he became frustrated. Williams then offered to rents Joy back to his husband to prove to him how worthful Joy is which was all a setup.

DM-SALT provides script writing for school plays, individuals, and organizations, directing and film production, and promotes businesses using community settings, town locations, radio, TV, and stage. DM-SALT Drama Mansion is results-driven and focused on the impact of its play on society, using Northern talents in the theatre industry.
