Pagli Album: Gungun Lelgu- A master piece from Don Sigi

About a few weeks ago, Don Sigli, arguably one of the best song writers in this generation of musicians released his third studio album, Pagli (fog). This master class album reaffirmed why he is respected a lot in the industry.

The first single on the album, Gungun Lelgu which he realized just days after the listening party is already getting positive reviews from music enthusiasts in the region and beyond. 

Gungun Lelgu comes closest to Wunpini, which he released about some four years ago. Gungu Lelgu talks of the importance of money in today’s world, that, when you have money, you have a chair at family meeting and friends as well start counting you among their circle.

While acknowledging the importance of money and praying to God to grant him money, Don Sigli askes God to give him enough so he will be able to solve his problems and provide his needs. But that he does not need plenty to put in his bag or pocket. He just needs enough to cover his expenses.

The song speaks to both the young and the old. Everyone is grooving to the tune and appreciating it in different ways. It is so lovely listening to how the older generation is appreciating the wisdom in the song and dissecting it proverb by the proverb.

When you listen to Gungn Lelgu, one will appreciate how Don Sigli plays with words in the song. The technique used in the songs includes proverbs and anecdotes to paint a vivid picture of what he wants to say. This helps to sustain and carry listeners along while he sings.

In Gungu lelgu again, Don Sigli shows his powerful vocals. In this production, he shows one of his unique talents, thus, vocals. His vocal ability is rich and very powerful. Listening to the song will mesmerize you and give you goose bumps.
