Ghana has placed second in the global ranking of countries with most women entrepreneurs according to the latest Mastercard Index of Women Entrepreneurs (MIWE).
The annual Mastercard Index of Women Entrepreneurs (MIWE) which provides insights into the progress and achievements of women in business found that nearly 4 out of every 10 business owners in Ghana are women which is the second-highest in the world after Uganda.
In Northern Ghana, the number of young women venturing into business is overwhelming, even more so, the social-cultural perception that Northern men do not embrace the kitchen idea is not entirely true, and there is evidence we at Sanatu Zambang Studios can show as proof, that Northern men are not just embracing the kitchen because they have no option but instead they see it as a way of showing love to their partners and also some see it as a way to start food and beverage business.
The sunny nature of the region has always demand the in take of lots of water back in the days, or getting a small soft drink spot at a junction and cool off your quench. however in the last 3-5 years the beverage business in the region is on the rise and young people in the region are championing this business trend.
Just as politicians and top personalities and public figures have endorsed and applauded the Eat-Ghana-Rice campaign and called for more campaigns to promote Ghanaian products, entrepreneurs in Northern Ghana, especially the Northern region Capital are championing DRINK LOCAL BEVERAGES in Ghana.
Here are some notable local beverages, homemade yogurt, fruit drinks, and snacks. You can also order a pizza or chicken when you visit the Northern Regional Capital.
