Dagbang Donates 50,000 Ghc To COVID-19 Fund

Chiefs and people of Dagbang earlier today led by His Majesty Yaa Naa Bukari II, has donated an amount of 50,000 Ghana cedis to the Covid-19 fund established by president Akufo-Addo.

This gesture follows several other organizations making similar donations to aid the government’s fight against the spread of the deadly virus in the country with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, activating a Covid-19 support system, with an initial one million Ghana Cedi fund.

The donation was presented in a form of cheque by the Mion-Lana Alhaji Abdulai III on behalf of the Yaa Naa and the kingdom to the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed.

So far, Ghana has one thousand five hundred and fifty (1,550) confirmed cases of the coronavirus, from this pool, one hundred and fifty five (155) have fully recovered, with eleven (11) deaths.

Meanwhile, yet to be confirmed information has it that northern region presently has twenty two (22) cases, with Yendi, Binbila and Chamba having one(1) each.
