DCOP Timothy assures public of the safety of inmates in Tamale prison

The Northern Police commander DCOP Timothy Yoosa Bonga has disclosed that the police has put in measure to ensure they minimize the number of criminal in police cell as a measure to ensure the safety of inmates. He said some of the protocol measures like hand washing and the wearing of masked is being observed in the cells.

The Police commander said this at a distinction exercise by zoomlion in Tamale the Northern Region capital. DCOP Yoosa Bonga said this when zoomlion launch the disinfection exercise to be carried at all facilities of the police across the northern region. He said cases that merit detention in the cell were serious crimes like murder.

The Northern Regional Coordinating Director Alhaji Alhassan Issahaku said it was critical to disinfect important place such as the police facilities. He said when activities are step up in preventive measure it would be able to deal with the pandemic.

The Northern Regional Director of the Savanna Waste Management a subsidiary of Zoomlion Dawuni Peter said the fight against COVID 19 cannot be done by the government alone and urged cooperate bodies to disinfect their offices’ homes and public places.
