Smocky World, a fashion brand in Tamale has over the weekend donated items to individuals in the metropolis to help in fighting against the deadly coronavirus in the city.
The donation which occurred on Saturday, 28th March 2020, saw the fashion brand and their friends share hand sanitizers and facial masks to market women/men.
Taxi/yellow-yellow drivers and the kayayei within the market. They also took their time to share fliers as well and educate the masses on how to protect themselves and their family against the fearsome coronavirus by adhering to the guidelines of the government directives.
So far, Tamale has recorded 10 cases. The persons are Guinean nationals who smuggle their way through to the city after the government had announced the closures of all the borders. Currently, one of the Guineans has escaped from the quarantine area. Northern regional NNP women’s Organiser distributes hand sanitizers to Traders in Tamale market
