Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, has urged teachers to exercise restraint over the government’s failure to pay their legacy arrears.

According to him, the arrears were inherited challenges which the incumbent government is not planning on shunning.

He said the teachers’ legacy arrears was an unsuccessful initiative by Mahama’s government to pay teachers who have not been paid over a period of time which the government is taking steps to rectify. He, therefore, assured teachers that the remaining areas would be paid in due time.
